Locum Orthopaedics Registrar

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, and on-call rota.

• Assess and manage acute orthopaedic admissions, including trauma cases.

• Assist in surgical procedures and pre/post-operative care.

• Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).

• Minimum 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience, ideally with prior orthopaedic exposure.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in an Irish hospital setting.

• ACLS/ATLS certification.
