Locum General Medicine Registrar

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage acute and chronic medical inpatients under consultant supervision

• Lead ward rounds, supervise junior staff, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings

• Request and interpret investigations, initiate treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care

• Participate in on-call rota and medical admissions as required

• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards

Candidate Requirements:

• Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (General or Specialist Division)

• Minimum 3 years of post-internship clinical experience, with prior medical registrar-level exposure

• Proven experience in general or internal medicine in an acute hospital setting

• Valid Work permit in Ireland

• Completed HSE Mandatory Trainings such as BLS, Childrens First etc.
