General Practitioner Louth (Specialist GP)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of general practice services including women’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, and acute care.

• Ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care at all times.

• Maintain compliance with the Professional Competence Scheme (PCS) as required by the IMC.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

• Contribute to practice development and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

• Participate in both face-to-face and, where required, telemedicine consultations.

Candidate Requirements

• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) – Specialist Division (General Practice).

• Demonstrated clinical experience practising as a GP in Ireland.

• Active enrolment (or eligibility to enrol) in the Professional Competence Scheme (PCS).

• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of care.
