Consultant in Emergency Medicine

Limerick

We are seeking a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join a busy, high-acuity emergency department in Limerick.

• Provide expert care for patients with acute medical and trauma emergencies.

• Lead resuscitations, acute interventions, and emergency procedures.

• Supervise and support junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals in the ED.

• Participate in the on-call rota and collaborate with hospital-wide teams for patient flow and acute care management.

• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

• Opportunity to engage in teaching, audit, and clinical research in emergency medicine.

Requirements:

• Eligable for specialist registration in Emergency Medicine with the Medical Council of Ireland.

• Minimum two years’ post-CCT experience in Emergency Medicine.

Skills:

• Clinical expertise in acute medical, trauma, and resuscitation care.

• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
