Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Rehabilitation

📍 Ireland | Community-Based Post-Acute Unit

We are seeking an experienced doctors (Resident Medical Officer) to join a growing rehabilitation service supporting patients transitioning from acute hospitals.

This role involves providing medical cover for a 25-50-bed unit managing Level 2 and Level 3 rehabilitation patients, working closely with Nursing and the full multidisciplinary team, with weekly input from a Consultant Geriatrician.

Key Responsibilities

Admission assessments and daily ward rounds
Ongoing medical management and medication review
IV therapies and minor procedures
Liaison with GPs and MDT
Discharge planning and documentation
Managing clinical deterioration when required

Requirements

Irish Medical Council registration
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Internal Medicine or Medicine for the Elderly
Strong MDT and communication skills
European passport or Stamp 4
