The Position
An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join a well-established regional health service. This role involves managing a broad generalist workload across obstetrics and gynaecology, including inpatient and outpatient care, birth suite, emergency involvement, elective and acute theatre, and participation in an on-call roster.
You will perform advanced laparoscopic and vaginal reconstructive procedures, contribute to obstetric on-take, and deliver care across the full scope of the specialty, including outreach services.
The role also offers significant involvement in teaching and supervision of trainees, junior doctors and medical students, alongside participation in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service development. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment while helping shape the future of regional women’s health services.

Essential criteria
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) registrable with AHPRA
- Fellowship of RANZCOG (or substantial progress toward fellowship / comparable pathway)
- Eligibility for Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching, supervision and clinical governance
