About the Opportunity

A leading specialist mental health service is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join its nursing leadership team. This position is ideal for a motivated psychiatric nurse looking to take the next step in their management career while remaining actively involved in clinical care and service delivery.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in supporting high standards of patient care, staff development, governance and operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day to day management of nursing services.
• Promote safe, high-quality, recovery-focused care.
• Ensure compliance with governance, quality and risk management frameworks.
• Support and supervise nursing staff and contribute to workforce planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and carers.
• Participate in service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to staff training, education and mentorship.

Requirements

• Registered Psychiatric Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ post registration nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience within adult mental health services.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Excellent clinical, organisational and communication skills.
• Understanding of clinical governance and Mental Health Commission standards.
• Flexibility to support operational requirements, including occasional weekends and holiday cover.
