🌍 International GP / Family Medicine – 2-Year Conversion Programme – Ireland 🇮🇪

Are you a Family Medicine doctor with 36+ months full-time experience? Ready to take the next step toward Specialist GP Registration in Ireland?

The IMG GP Conversion Programme is a 2-year structured pathway for experienced international doctors to achieve Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council while working in rural and semi-rural GP clinics across Ireland.

✅ Experience That Counts

• Full-time unsupervised patient appointments

• Diagnosing, managing, and following up on acute & chronic conditions

• Treating patients of all ages (newborns to geriatrics) in a non-hospital setting

• Experience as a doctor on a cruise ship also counts

🚫 Experience That Does NOT Count

• Emergency Medicine

• Walk-in GP clinics

• Out-of-Hours GP work

• Minor Injuries Units

• GP locum work as a secondary job

📋 Eligibility Requirements

• Eligible for General Registration with the Irish Medical Council (non-negotiable) – check here

• Strong written and spoken English

• Minimum 3 months postgraduate experience in Internal Medicine and Paediatrics

• Adaptable and ready to work in new clinical environments

• 36 months Family Medicine / General Practice experience
