MatchMedics is currently recruiting a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (CAMHS) for a permanent HSE Consultant Psychiatry role in Wexford, Ireland.

This position offers an opportunity for UK, EU, US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand trained Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists seeking IMC Specialist Registration and a Consultant Psychiatry career in Ireland.

Consultant CAMHS Role – Wexford, Ireland

Join a well-established Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) supporting children, adolescents and families within a collaborative multidisciplinary team including:

• Consultant Psychiatrists

• Clinical Psychologists

• CAMHS Nurses

• Social Workers

• Occupational Therapists

The role combines clinical leadership, MDT collaboration, service development and teaching opportunities within a progressive mental health service.

Consultant Psychiatry Salary & Benefits (Ireland)

€235,862 – €283,381 Consultant salary scale (2026 HSE Public Only Consultant Contract)
On-call allowance starting from €11,125+
30 days annual leave + 10 public holidays
€12,000 Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
€8,000 Research & Innovation grant

This Consultant Psychiatry role is suitable for specialists with training such as:

* UK CCT or CESR in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
* EU Specialist qualification recognised under the EU Directive
* American Board Psychiatry certification
* Canadian Fellowship (RCPSC)
* Australian or New Zealand Fellowship

Eligibility for Irish Medical Council Specialist Registration in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is essential.
