General Surgery Consultant

Sligo

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant in General Surgery to join the surgical team at Sligo University Hospital. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, high-performing surgical department providing quality care to patients across the region.

The primary responsibilities include:
* Participating in the General Surgery on-call rota.
* Performing endoscopic procedures (scopes), experience in this area is essential.
* Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and hospital leadership to ensure seamless patient care.
* Fostering a culture of learning, mentorship, and professional development within the department.

Requirements:
* Eligible for registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) under the Specialist Division
* Proven experience as a General Surgery Consultant or Specialist (3+ years)
* Must have experience in scopes (endoscopy procedures)

Salary:
€233,000 – €280,000 per annum
