Consultant Vascular Surgeon
Location: UL Hospitals Group
Start Date: July/August

UL Hospitals Group is seeking a Consultant Vascular Surgeon to join their surgical team. This is a full-time role offering opportunities for clinical leadership, teaching, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care in line with the Clinical Directorate Service Plan

• Supervise and mentor Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs)

• Provide expert consultation within your specialty across the hospital group

• Participate in teaching and academic activities with the University of Limerick

• Engage in audit, quality improvement, and research initiatives

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and hospital management to ensure service efficiency

• Ensure compliance with service levels, clinical governance, and relevant regulatory standards

• Participate in selection and training of medical staff as appropriate

Requirements:

• Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council

• Substantial experience in vascular surgery at consultant level

• Strong leadership, clinical governance, and communication skills

• Interest in service development, research, and teaching
