Emergency Medicine Consultant
South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, Ireland

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join the dedicated team at South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.

South Tipperary General Hospital (STGH) is a public hospital located in Clonmel, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and emergency care services. It serves a large catchment area in South Tipperary and is a key healthcare provider in the region. The hospital has over 250 inpatient beds, offers a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, oncology, and more.

Position Overview:

• Working Hours: 37-hour working week

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership: Provide high-quality emergency care to patients and oversee clinical governance in the Emergency Department.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent emergency care services.
• Mentorship and Development: Foster a culture of collaboration, education, and mentorship within the emergency department.
• Service Planning: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the emergency services and participate in department rota schedules

Candidate Requirements:

• Eligibility to register with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) under the specialist registration for Emergency Medicine.
• Proven experience as an Emergency Medicine Specialist or Consultant.

Salary Range:
€226,681 – €272,290 per annum (based on experience)
