Wexford General Hospital, a facility within the Ireland East Hospital Group (IEHG), operates under the governance of a Board of Management led by the General Manager. With a capacity of 280 beds, Wexford General Hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services including inpatient, outpatient, day care, outreach, and emergency services.

Situated along the eastern seaboard, Wexford General Hospital is located one hour south of Waterford, two hours and thirty minutes from Cork, and one hour and fifteen minutes north of hospitals in Dublin

Responsibilites:

• Delivering high-quality emergency medical care to patients within the hospital’s catchment area population.
• Demonstrating professionalism, effective leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Overseeing clinical management and providing direction for the Emergency Department (ED) alongside other Consultant colleagues.
• Taking responsibility for developing and supervising systems of care for all ED patients.
• Providing training and clinical support to the Non-Consultant Hospital Doctor (NCHD) team in the ED.
• Offering guidance and support to non-medical clinical staff working in the unit.

Requirements:

ACTIVE IMC under the specialist registration
Relevant experience as an Emergency Medicine Specialist/Consultant

Salary:

€231,251-277,736 per annum
