MatchMedics is delighted to partner with one of Ireland’s most respected and progressive healthcare organisations in the appointment of a Medical Director (MICGP) with a specialist interest in Women’s Health.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Specialist GP to combine clinical excellence with strategic leadership in a role that will directly influence the future of women’s healthcare services nationwide.
As Medical Director, you will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, shape service development, contribute to policy and advocacy initiatives, and continue to provide specialist clinical care within a modern Dublin city-based setting.

The Opportunity
As Medical Director, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to an experienced team of doctors and nurses
- Drive service innovation, quality improvement, and strategic development initiatives
- Balance hands-on clinical practice with senior management responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and develop healthcare professionals across the organisation
- Contribute to education, advocacy, media engagement, and public awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, policymakers, and government stakeholders
- Play a key role in shaping the future delivery of women’s health services in Ireland
About You
To be considered, you will have:
- MICGP qualification and Specialist Registration in General Practice with the Irish Medical Council
- A minimum of four years’ post-specialist experience, including experience gained in Ireland
- A strong clinical interest and demonstrated commitment to women’s health
- Family Planning Certification and LARC certified
- Excellent leadership, communication, mentoring, and decision-making skills
- A patient-centred approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in Women’s Health
- Postgraduate qualifications in Healthcare Management, Leadership, or a related field
Please note: Candidates must be available to commence the role in December 2026.
