LUH provides comprehensive paediatric services, including dedicated neurology and subspecialist care for children with neurological conditions such as epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and headache syndromes. The hospital is closely affiliated with the University of Limerick, supporting education, research, and clinical service development in paediatric neurology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level paediatric neurology care for children and adolescents.

• Lead the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic neurological disorders.

• Oversee multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, and outpatient services for paediatric neurology.

• Supervise and mentor NCHDs, nursing staff, and allied health professionals involved in neurology care.

• Contribute to audit, quality improvement, research, and service development initiatives.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatrics, neurophysiology, rehabilitation, and allied services.

Essential Requirements

• Eligible for Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).

• Specialist training and experience in Paediatric Neurology.

• Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and clinical governance experience.

Salary

€233,000 – €280,000 per annum
