Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon Special Interest in Spine

Dublin

Purpose of Role:
The purpose of this post is to provide paediatric orthopaedic elective care across the general spectrum of paediatric orthopaedics, with a subspecialty focus on spine surgery.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience consulting across paediatric orthopeadics

• Credibility as an experienced clinician respected by both clinical and non-clinical teams.

• Ability to apply evidence-based decision-making and manage complex service reconfigurations.

• Strong leadership, team management, and change management skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Knowledge of governance structures, national health programmes, and health sector reforms.

• Effective planning, organisational, and risk management skills.

• Proficiency in hospital IT systems and data management.

• Eligable or registered with the Irish Medical Council under the specialist division
