Consultant in Paediatric Spinal Surgery – CHI Dublin
Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Dublin is seeking a Consultant in Paediatric Spinal Surgery to join a leading tertiary paediatric spinal service. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex spinal conditions in children and contribute to a nationally recognised service.
Role:

Provide expert surgical and clinical care for children with congenital, idiopathic, and neuromuscular spinal deformities.

Lead preoperative assessment, operative planning, and postoperative management.

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, and anaesthetists.

Participate in the on-call rota for spinal emergencies.

Contribute to service development, audit, teaching, and clinical research initiatives.

Support national and regional referral networks for paediatric spinal care.
Requirements:

Eligable for specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland.

Subspecialist training and experience in paediatric spinal surgery.

Fellowship in paediatric spinal.
Skills:

Clinical expertise in complex paediatric spinal conditions and surgery.

Leadership and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Strong communication, teaching, and research skills.

Experience in service development, audit, and quality improvement.
