The Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Dublin is seeking a Consultant Paediatric Spinal Consultant to join the expanding paediatric service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and patient-focused team serving children and families across Dublin and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care for children and adolescents with spinal disorders.

• Deliver outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and participate in the paediatric on-call rota as required.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues including orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.

• Engage in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance paediatric spinal care.

• Contribute to the teaching and supervision of NCHDs, medical students, and other trainees.

• Participate in relevant research and academic opportunities in collaboration with CHI Dublin and affiliated academic partners.

Essential Requirements

• Completion of specialist training in Paediatrics and Orthopaedics / Spinal Surgery (or equivalent) with recognised subspecialty training in paediatric spinal disorders.

• Registration or eligibility for Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).

• Strong clinical expertise in the management of complex paediatric spinal conditions.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

• Commitment to high-quality, family-centred care.
