Our client, a great service with opportunities all across the country is currently hiring a Junior Doctor to join a dedicated Mental Health Services team in Cork.

The role involves supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and contributing to high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric and risk assessments and contribute to diagnostic and treatment planning

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective mental health support

• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes

• Ensure compliance with national policies, clinical governance, and confidentiality standards

• Provide general medical care and liaise with specialists as needed

Requirements

• Fully registered Medical Practitioner with the Irish Medical Council

• MBBS or equivalent

• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001 and psychopharmacology

• Experience working with adults with mental health challenges

• Strong clinical and communication skills; biopsychosocial approach preferred
