MatchMedics have teamed up with a health tech company to launch a virtual Emergency Medicine service across Ireland. Based in a command centre in Dublin,

🌐 The Role: Virtual Emergency Medicine Physician

You’ll be part of a clinical team managing Category 3-5 presentations through a digital platform. From real-time assessment to discharge or referral, you’ll work alongside triage nurses, ANPs, and EM consultants to ensure patient safety and efficiency in every interaction.

🔍 Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual clinical assessments and decision-making for incoming cases

• Collaborate closely with triage and ward staff

• Escalate complex or high-acuity cases as needed

• Order diagnostics, prescribe treatment, discharge or refer in line with pathways

• Accurately document all patient interactions using digital systems

• Participate in handovers, MDT meetings, and quality assurance activities

🧠 What We’re Looking For:

• Irish Medical Council registration (active)

• Minimum 4 years’ post-internship experience in Emergency Medicine

• Experience at EM registrar or equivalent senior level (essential)

• Experience in Irish or UK clinical settings (preferred)

• Confidence in remote assessments and digital documentation

• Valid ALS/PALS certifications
